K.S.Rao: Born in 1936 at Mangalore, Karnataka, India. He is a senior artist of distinction. He holds a first class Diploma in Fine Arts from the JJ School of Arts, Bombay.In 1985 Honored by the 4th Karnataka Kala Mela Committee, Bangalore.In 1992 Honored by the Karnataka State Lalit Kala Academy, Bangalore on the event of their Silver Jubilee Celebrations.1975 – 1980 Design Expert under Colombo Plan on Deputation by the Govt.of India to the Govt. Of Srilanka, under Colombo Plan Scheme from 1975 to 1980.He has to his credit awards from Bombay Art Society,Hyderabad Art Society, Academy of Fine Arts ,Kolkata,Tamilnadu Lalit Kala Academi, National Award from the Lalit Kala Academi, New Delhi to name a few.He has innumerable solo and group shows to his credit. He has also participated in several camps. His works are in the collections of many corporates in India and abroad.A first class diploma means a recognized non degree course.
