The Prakrit Arts gallery has made an impressionable mark on the ‘map’ of the Chennai Directory of Art. Beyond that, its reputation has spread pan-India via art camps and exhibitions. To Prakrit's credit and the organisation’s skills and committed drive of its Founder, Mrs. Meena Dadha, Prakrit has set its footprints in the country as well as abroad in New York, London, Singapore and other countries. Prakrit’s strength is it’s skill to go off the beaten track and discover and showcase works of India’s ‘unknown/self taught artists’. An acknowledgement of their technique and passion is them being put alongside the established Greats of the Art Community. The guiding motto of this new-found genre of artists is one word: ‘talent’. Prakrit further attempts to take the art collector on a learning spree to understand contemporary art, and train the visual senses to discern and discover one's inherent aesthetic tastes to choose judiciously.
