GOND PAINTINGS
Gond folk painting is practice by one of the largest tribes in India who are predominantly from Madhya Pradesh. An art form which dates back to the Mesolithic period. It is said that these techniques of Gond Painting are nearly 1400 years old. Its is created by dots and line. In the Mesolithic period, ancestors of Gond peoples used to draw these forms of paintings in caves. Gond people have a keen interest in art which is a reason that they decorate their houses with tattoos and paintings. Gond painting has also been used as a tool to preserve the history, culture and traditions of Gonds.
